Mainly because if developers had the ability to use flash on the device then many 3rd party VOip applications and SMS application will appear. By doing this AT&T / O2 / T-Mobile will be losing alot of revenue. Though i do hope that Flash will appear soon!! I doubt it will ever have Flash player.
